Casual was created to be the logo for Yor Linux. He was originally designed to be recognizable across a crowded conference room. Thus his flowers had to be bold and bright. That also explains the names of the flowers.
Although I loved the original Casual Tux, his flowers were not really Hawaiian. I wanted to make a real Hawaiian shirt, and needed the right flower for it. After looking at many Hawaiian shirts I settled on the Hibiscus flower.

Although Hibiscus flowers look good, they don’t look right without some types of leaves.
